Teal Green and Raspberry Wine Handwoven Towel

I wove this oversized reversible hand towel with a warp and weft of 8/2 unmercerized cotton on a 4-harness Harrisville loom. The pattern is called linen weave.

Handwoven towels have many uses, such as dish towels, tea towels, bread cloths, hand towels, and place mats. Soft and absorbent, all my handwoven towels are pre-shrunk.

Everyday tasks such as drying your hands and doing the dishes become exceptional when using a handwoven towel. When you pick it up, you remember you are holding an individually made, comforting item that slows and calms your life, a towel that was woven by hand in my studio and was not simply one of thousands mass produced in a noisy industrial factory.
